Choose

Choose to uplift yourself with your words.

Choose to bless others with your words.

Choose to disregard words that mislead or distort truth.

Words

Words have the ability to

empower and enslave . . .

reveal and conceal . . .

release and entrap . . .

uplift and slam down . . .

bless and curse . . .

both the giver and receiver.

Wisely

Too often words are thrown around carelessly.

Too often a plethora of words spill from a person’s mouth, but the person’s true meaning still remains unspoken.

Take control of your words and use them wisely.

Questions?

Is English with Mrs. English for me?

            (1)  If you are an adult whose native language is English but you often feel clueless about the parts of speech or you feel unsure if you are saying something the right way, then, yes, English with Mrs. English is for you.

            (2)  If English is not your native language and you want a simple, bite-sized review of formal English instruction you are receiving, then, yes, English with Mrs. English is for you.

            (3)  If you are a student of any age and you have at least a first-grade reading ability (or are the parent of such a student), then English with Mrs. English is for you as a preview or review of your formal instruction.

Is grammar all there is on English with Mrs. English?

Grammar is only the starting point and the key to building a foundation of good communication.  Also find hints to improve the content of your writing, examples of good books to read, inspiration for sharing your ideas, and urgings to consider and analyze information you receive with discernment.

What if I learn better by watching and listening instead of reading?

No problem!  Click the embedded video at the end of each lesson.  Also find the videos at the English with Mrs. English YouTube channel.  Even so, please read the text version of lessons, too, as they sometimes have a little more information than the video.  Non-lesson blogs (without a number  like 0011) usually do not have a video, but if you think those should have a video, too, contact us, and we may make that change with future entries.

What if I need more than just one short lesson?

Then you will definitely want to click on links provided in many of the lessons to find a readable and/or downloadable pdf document with definitions and summaries or with additional practice.  In the future, a resource page will be made with a list of the documents that can be found in the various lessons.
