Not everyone can be with family or loved ones for Christmas, especially those in the armed services.  Not only is this a sacrifice our service men and women make, but also it is a sacrifice their families make.  Please remember to thank them—those away from home and those who keep the home fires burning.

Recently one of my daughters helped provide some music for the Christmas party for a local service lodge (people who serve as volunteers in the community). She included the song “Camouflage and Christmas Lights” as a tribute to those who currently serve our country and to the lodge members who served our country in the past.  She was introduced to this song by Reed Robertson who sang it on the CD Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas.  It was written by Michael Logen and Andrew Dorff in 2013.

Each day for the next couple of days I will include another song she sang at either the Christmas party or in our church Christmas program.  Songs can communicate thoughts and emotions that simple words cannot.

Thank you again to all of our armed forces.
